Climb Up the Steel Mountain Blurb

Prominent Physician Accomplishes First Heart Transplant

Kay was still alive and he had to save her now, right away. That was his duty as a cardiologist. He had read about the latest surgical procedures and went over them in his mind, but he had never really done one. Dr. Louis Stafford accomplished his first heart transplant and he prayed to God that it would be completely successful and his patient would live to a ripe old age.

Len Steiner is a Pittsburgh native and has a diversified background. He is not only a fiction writer, but was Program Director of the Saudi Air Force Air Defense Program during both Gulf Wars. He spent fourteen years working in Saudi Arabia and has written for military and civilian publications. Len also taught Business and Economics for the University of Alaska.

Climb Up the Steel Mountain Contains Diversity

The novel "Climb Up the Steel Mountain" by Len Steiner contains diversity in that the main character and his family are Roman Catholic; his benefactor and employer is Jewish, and his best friend in the military who is killed as a hero in Vietnam is African-American. This is proof of the melting pot that is called the United States of America.
